SNOW STORM! (06/22)
Since it is the first day of summer, and since it has been so hot with temperatures in the 90's, I thought I would start the week off with an attempt to cool things off a bit. Hence, a winter snow scene.
Actually I have a hidden agenda. During winter, everyone complains about the cold. And during the hottest part of the summer, people complain about the heat. So I ask, what do you think is a day that you would not complain about the weather? If you were to ask me, I would have several. I love the warm days and the cool nights of the spring and fall. I love Spring's rebirth and Fall's vibrant colors. You don't have to run the heat or the A/C. Well, almost. I love winter because I love to ski. I love the cold air on my face when skiing down a mountain. I love summer because nothing is more comforting to be inside during an intense afternoon thunderstorm, smelling honeysuckle, 4th of July fireworks, or trying to catch lightning bugs. Remember last winter with temperatures so cold?
So as you swelter in today's summer heat, just remember that six months from now you will be wishing it was summer again.
