THE SOUTHERNMOST HOUSE (06/08)
My goodness! I have not posted for the past few days. Well I am back and today I am presenting what would be a painting if it was printed on canvas.
Anyone who has been to Key West, Florida has photographed Sloppy Joe's, Ernest Hemingway's house, and the the buoy that marks the southern most point in the continental United States. I wanted to be different so today I present to you the southern most house in the USA.
South Florida has its own culture which is laid back rather than the hustle and bustle of up north. So my goal was to create a work that was almost dreamlike and depict a tropical scene. You can almost feel heat of midday. The overall tone of the work also depicts South Florida living. I hope you enjoy today's work as much as I enjoyed creating it.
